Realty & Industrial Land

Land for Renewable Projects

Land for a renewable energy project is evaluated differently from general industrial land — grid proximity, solar or wind resource, terrain and shading all factor in alongside title and access. This service packages land specifically against those project requirements.

It sits alongside our renewable energy vertical's own land services (Solar Land Services, Wind Site & Land) and is the realty-side entry point for developers approaching land needs first.

Solar land versus wind land

Solar projects need contiguous, reasonably level land with low shading and good drainage; the array occupies most of it. Wind projects need rights across a wider, dispersed area — turbine points, roads and line routes — with each turbine's permanent footprint relatively small.

Both need proximity to grid evacuation, compatible land-use classification and clean title. We qualify land against the specific technology, not a generic checklist.

For landowners

Renewable projects typically involve long-term arrangements. Understanding how much of the land will be occupied, for how long, and what happens at the end of the term is as important as the rent. We explain those points plainly and recommend independent legal review before any agreement.

What We Do Directly

  • Land sourcing against solar or wind project specifications
  • Preliminary grid-proximity and resource-context screening
  • Landowner outreach and coordination specific to renewable project terms
  • Coordination across single- or multi-parcel footprints as required

Delivered Through Qualified Partners

  • Formal resource assessment (solar irradiance or wind data)
  • Grid interconnection feasibility studies
  • Legal title due diligence

We coordinate execution through qualified EPC and delivery partners rather than building or manufacturing in-house.

Process

  1. 01Define the renewable project's land, capacity and grid requirement
  2. 02Source and screen candidate land against those requirements
  3. 03Qualify title, land-use and preliminary access
  4. 04Coordinate landowner agreements
  5. 05Hand over a qualified package to the renewable energy project team

Who It's For

  • Solar and wind developers approaching ANR Horizon through land needs specifically
  • Landowners in renewable-resource regions considering a lease
  • Investors assessing land-backed renewable project opportunities

Documents & Inputs Needed

  • Target capacity, technology (solar/wind) and preferred geography
  • Grid connectivity requirement, if known
  • Any existing resource data or site shortlist

Deliverables

  • Qualified land shortlist against the renewable project brief
  • Landowner engagement coordination
  • Documentation package for the project team
