Why land decides renewable projects
Generation capacity in solar and wind scales with land. A utility-scale solar plant needs a large, contiguous, reasonably level parcel; a wind project needs rights spread across a wider area for turbines, access roads and internal lines. In both cases the land also has to sit within practical reach of a grid connection point that can take the power.
Parcels that satisfy all of those conditions — and also have clean title and a compatible land-use classification — are far scarcer than open land on a map suggests. That is why we treat land sourcing and qualification as the core of renewable project development, not a preliminary step to rush through.
